(Panama City, Fla.) - Bay Town Trolley is searching for "agents" for its 2007 Rider Under Cover initiative. The purpose: to obtain feedback from frequent Bay Town Trolley riders in an effort to provide optimal service throughout the area. As the system continues to grow, Bay Town Trolley understands that listening to their riders is a top priority. In January 2007 alone, 25,509 boarded the trolley Ð an 18 percent increase from the number of riders at this time last year.
Selected agents will not only receive the inside scoop but special Bay Town Trolley "under cover" goodies. Applicants wishing to apply must meet the following requirements:
- Be a monthly pass holder
- Ride at least four times a month
- Have been riding the trolley for at least one year
Interested and qualified agents can pick up an application from any trolley driver or apply online at www.BayTownTrolley.org. Deadline for applications has been extended until Feb. 28, 2007.
"We strongly encourage all eligible riders to apply for this unique opportunity," said Doug Boice, General Manager for Bay Town Trolley. "With ridership numbers of to a strong start in 2007, we are excited to elicit the feedback of those using the system on a regular basis."
The selected riders will ultimately become the eyes and ears for the system. Throughout the year, "agents" will carry on with normal day-to-day trolley activities, intermittently reporting their good, bad and indifferent experiences with Bay Town Trolley staff members.
These sleuth riders are just one part of Bay Town Trolley's overall 2007 theme, Rider Under Cover. The first segment of the initiative involved the installation of transportation shelters at various trolley stops to keep riders covered from the elements.
Bay Town Trolley is an award-winning transit system that serves the growing needs of Bay County, Monday through Friday, with hundreds of stops daily.
